Freeze dryer manufacturers analyze the cause of food spoilage. The reason for food spoilage is the reproduction of microorganisms in food. Microorganisms generally include viruses, bacteria, fungi, molds, etc., as well as small algae and protozoa. Mechanism of freeze dryer ozone sterilization:

Ozone, also known as trimolecular oxygen, is an oxygen isotope composed of three oxygen atoms. Because the third oxygen atom of ozone has a weak and very unstable bond, it is easy to decompose at room temperature to produce atoms with strong oxidizing ability. Because of such strong oxidizing ozone, it has a strong killing effect on various bacteria and viruses. Its sterilization mechanism is that ozone first acts on the cell membrane of the killing object, causing damage to the membrane components and causing metabolic disorders. Ozone continues to permeate through the membrane to destroy lipoproteins and lipopolysaccharides in the membrane, changing the permeability of cells and leading to cell lysis and death. At the same time, ozone can also inactivate enzymes necessary for cell activities and affect their normal physiological functions. Therefore, ozone is a broad-spectrum bactericide, and its sterilization speed is 300-600 times faster than that of chlorine, which can quickly kill various bacterial reproduction and spores, viruses and fungi.

When the freeze dryer is in drying operation, the drying bin and the water catcher are circular closed containers, which work under vacuum and low temperature, and are relatively less likely to naturally produce microorganisms. However, when drying many varieties, especially freeze-dried meat, and aquatic products with high fat and protein content, various bacteria and spores are more likely to be produced. For other parts and pipelines, even if CIP cleaning is installed, it cannot guarantee that every part and corner can be thoroughly cleaned in place. Potential for contamination of food containing chemical residues by chemical sterilization. It also cannot be sterilized with steam like a drug freeze dryer. Then the use of ozone disinfection completely solved the problem. From the perspective of the use of freeze-drying equipment, the sterilization effect of the drying chamber and the radiant plate of the water trap chamber and the evaporation tube that has been sterilized by ozone gas is extremely ideal. In addition, we also pass ozone in the CIP cleaning pipeline to dissolve it in the cleaning water, completely kill the bacteria in the pipeline and the nozzle in the warehouse, and solve the problem of secondary pollution in the CIP pipeline.
