How Does The Low Temperature Screw Chiller Work?
The low-temperature screw chiller is mainly divided into water-cooled screw chiller and air-cooled screw chiller. The equipment is mainly composed of a compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, control system, and other parts.
Compression process: The low-temperature screw compressor is the core component of the chiller. The refrigerant, in the form of gas in the environment, is sucked into the screw compressor, and the refrigerant gas is compressed, causing the temperature and pressure to rise.
Condensation process: The high-temperature and high-pressure gas refrigerant then enters the condenser. In the condenser, the refrigerant exchanges heat with the external environment. The refrigerant is cooled to a liquid state by a cooling medium (water or air), which radiates heat. During this process, the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant are reduced."
Expansion process: The cooled liquid refrigerant passes through the expansion valve into the low-pressure region. During this step, the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant drops dramatically, making it ready for the next stage.
Evaporation process: The evaporator is the key component of the refrigeration process and is usually installed in the area to be cooled. A low-temperature, low-pressure liquid refrigerant passes through the evaporator and changes from a liquid to a gas, absorbing heat from the surrounding area. This process results in a lower temperature in the area being cooled.
Control system: The control system can detect the temperature of the cooled area and make real-time adjustment according to the set temperature to ensure that the temperature of the cooled area is within the set range. At the same time, the control system can also carry out pressure detection, alarm and troubleshooting to ensure the stability of the equipment during operation and ensure the cooling effect.
