The refrigerating compressor of the lyophilizer inhales the low-pressure (low-temperature) refrigerant in the evaporator into the cylinder of the compressor. The refrigerant vapor is compressed, and the pressure and temperature rise at the same time. The refrigerant steam at high pressure and high temperature is pressed to the condenser. In the condenser, the refrigerant steam at a higher temperature exchanges heat with the cooling water or air at a lower temperature. The heat of the refrigerant is taken away by water or air and condensed down, and the refrigerant steam becomes liquid. This part of the liquid is then transported to the expansion valve, through the expansion valve throttle into low temperature and low pressure liquid and into the evaporator; In the evaporator, the low temperature and low pressure refrigerant liquid absorbs the heat of the compressed air and vaporizes (commonly known as "evaporation"), and the compressed air is cooled and condenses a large amount of liquid water; The refrigerant steam in the evaporator is sucked away by the compressor, so that the refrigerant in the system through compression, condensation, throttling, evaporation such four processes, so as to complete a cycle.

In the freeze-drying mechanism cooling system, the evaporator is the equipment to transport the cold amount, in which the refrigerant absorbs the heat of the compressed air and realizes the purpose of dehydration and drying. The compressor is the heart, which inhales, compresses and transports refrigerant vapor. The condenser is the equipment that releases heat. The heat absorbed in the evaporator is transferred to the cooling medium (such as water or air) together with the heat converted from the input power of the compressor. The expansion valve/throttle valve has the function of throttling and depressing the refrigerant, controlling and regulating the quantity of refrigerant liquid flowing into the evaporator at the same time, and dividing the system into two parts: high pressure side and low pressure side.
