The freeze-drying machine is composed of refrigeration system, vacuum system.heating system and electrical instrument control system.The main components are drying oven, condenser, refrigerating unit, vacuum pump, heating/cooling device, etc.
The working principle of the freeze-dryer is: under the condition of keeping the pressure of the compressed air basically unchanged, lowering the temperature of the compressed air can reduce the water vapor content in the compressed air, and the excess water vapor will condense into liquid.The freeze-drying machine uses this principle to dry compressed air by refrigeration technology. So the cold - dry machine has a refrigeration system.
Refrigeration system of freeze dryer belongs to compression refrigeration, which is composed of refrigeration compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve and other four basic components.They are connected by pipes, forming a closed system, refrigerant in the system constantly circulating flow, state changes and heat exchange with compressed air and cooling medium. In the refrigeration system of the freeze dryer, the evaporator is the equipment to transport the cold amount, in which the refrigerant absorbs the heat of the compressed air and realizes the purpose of dehydration and drying.The compressor is the heart, which inhales, compresses and transports refrigerant vapor. The condenser is the equipment that releases heat. The heat absorbed in the evaporator is transferred to the cooling medium (such as water or air) together with the heat converted from the input power of the compressor.The expansion valve/throttle valve has the function of throttling and depressing the refrigerant, controlling and regulating the quantity of refrigerant liquid flowing into the evaporator at the same time, and dividing the system into two parts: high pressure side and low pressure side.
The characterisitc of freeze drying machine is:method of freezing the water containing material into solid state to gaseous state,so as to remove the water and preserve the material.
Therefor freeze dryer is widely used in food ,such as fruits and vegetables ,dried flowers,which can be applied to fully retain the moisture and nutrition of the food itself.
