Processing technology of centipede medicinal freeze-drying 

1.Collect fresh centipedes from reliable sources to ensure they are healthy and undamaged.
2.Wash the centipedes with clean water or disinfected solution to remove dirt and impurities to ensure clean samples during the freeze-drying process.

3. Then place it on the shelf in the drying box of the vacuum freeze dryer, spread the centipede to 8～10Kg/m2, turn on the refrigeration equipment, and adjust the temperature in the drying box to -38～ -40℃, freeze the centipede for 2-3 hours; turn on the mechanical vacuum pump to adjust the pressure in the drying box to 12.5-13.3Pa; turn on the Roots vacuum pump, and the pressure drops to 1.3-1.33Pa; the ice in the frozen centipede at this time That is, it sublimates into water vapor; turn on the condenser, adjust the temperature to -57～-60℃, and the water vapor forms frost on the condenser; turn on the heating system, and slowly heat the shelf temperature from -38～-40℃ to 9～10 ℃, this process is 9～13 hours; Slowly heat the shelf temperature to 28～30 ℃, this process is 7～9 hours; The condenser water catch accounts for 65～85% of the total mass, namely the dry centipede;

4. Seal the package to get the finished centipede; or use a low-temperature flouring machine to make 50-200 mesh powder to get the centipede powder. The centipede powder is put into empty capsules to obtain freeze-dried centipede powder capsules.

• Freezing temperature: Between -40°C and -80°C is often the lowest freezing temperature that can be reached.
• Vacuum degree: To successfully encourage the sublimation process, the vacuum system must be able to sustain a high vacuum degree.

• Heating technique: To prevent overheating and sample damage, the heating system should be able to regulate the temperature variation during the sublimation step.
