To start with, there are 3 main types of snake venom.

1.     Circulatory toxin

For example viper, trimeresurus, long-noded pit viper and so on. It causes the bitten part swell rapidly, with bleeding, severe pain. The skin color turns into purple black, skin necrosis, and may causes death if do not get treated within 4 hours.

2.     Neurotoxin

 The bitten part does not have significant change, only small amount of blood. However it will turn serious in a few hours. Eventually patients would die. Apart from that, scientists are working on how to use this neurotoxin to heal some virus in human body.

3.     Mixed toxin

People bitten may have fever, have a feeling of pain. After the toxin has been absorbed,  symptoms would be more serious and more complex.

 Freeze drying process of snake venom has only two steps. The most important step is to filter the impurities, this ensures the quality of snake venom is good. After the clarified liquid is collected, freeze the snake venom until it becomes solid-ice state. Place the prepared ice-snake venom in the clean, dry vacuum equipment, vacuum drying it. It take an average time of 8 hours to finish. After it is freeze dried, snake venom mostly becomes powder or bulks. Lyophilized snake venom contains water less than 5%, and it becomes easy to store.
